Maison Fèvre

Heritage craftsmanship

The family history began as watchmakers in 1890, then evolved fifty years later into the craft of watch straps in Saint-Flour and the establishment of the head office in Vichy in 1960.

"WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE BEEN SERVING THE SECURITY AND ENHANCEMENT OF YOUR WATCH DIALS FOR 83 YEARS."*

Heritage craftsmanship

It was in 1942 that Maison Fèvre began offering its exceptional craftsmanship through its various creations of interchangeable watch straps for men and women, as well as watch cases and storage boxes. In the 1960s, the pocket watch gave way to wristwatches. A specialist in handmade watch straps, Maison Fèvre has been perpetuating this artisanal tradition for three generations.

With its own workshops in France and then in Madagascar since the 1990s, Maison Fèvre designs its creations at its headquarters in Vichy, contributing to the global reach of French design. The R&D department and the artisans work closely together.

A Maison Fèvre watch strap requires 16 manufacturing steps, and more depending on its complexity.

The manufacturing steps: reading the leather, pre-cutting, splitting the top leather, skiving (thinning the ends), applying the tear-resistant material (ensuring the strength of the bracelet), splitting the leather lining, second skiving, turning back the loop heel, applying the lining, overcutting (cutting the final shape of the bracelet), topstitching, cutting the space for the passage of the pin and the perforation holes of the adjustment range and the interchangeable system (flash pump), dyeing the edge, assembling the loops, branding (hot stamping the brand and size of the bracelet) then quality control.

The mastery of traditional leathers (cowhide, calfskin, goatskin and lambskin) as well as exotic leathers (crocodile/alligator, lizard and ostrich) is recognized in the world of watchmaking.

Maison Fèvre also offers waterproof, fabric and vegan (pineapple fiber and cork) watch straps as well as a collection compatible with Apple Watch.
