Maison Fèvre

Heritage craftsmanship

The family story began in watchmaking as early as 1890. Fifty years later, it naturally evolved into the craft of watch strap manufacturing, a demanding profession at the crossroads of precision, elegance, and leather craftsmanship.

Founded in 1942, MAISON FÈVRE has spent more than eight decades supporting the evolution of watchmaking practices and the rise of the wristwatch as a true style accessory. From its headquarters in Vichy, established in the early 1960s, the Maison designs creations for watch enthusiasts both in France and around the world.

Histoire famille artisans français Maison Fèvre

Heritage craftsmanship

For three generations, MAISON FÈVRE has upheld a single guiding principle: creating watch straps and horological accessories that combine exceptional materials, manufacturing precision, and timeless elegance.

Each creation is designed in France, in the green surroundings of Vichy, where the development teams work closely with skilled artisans to bring to life collections intended for watch enthusiasts and for women and men who appreciate the refined elegance of distinctive leather goods. The Maison preserves traditional craftsmanship while embracing the innovations required by contemporary lifestyles.

MAISON FÈVRE carefully selects its materials from some of the finest leathers available. Calfskin, cowhide, goatskin, lambskin, and trout leather, alongside lizard, crocodile, alligator, and ostrich skins, are transformed into creations designed to accompany exceptional timepieces for years to come.

A noble and living material, leather has accompanied humankind for centuries. Shaped by the artisan’s hand, it develops over time a unique patina that tells the story of its wearer. Its beauty lies as much in its character as in its remarkable ability to endure the years without losing its elegance.

A MAISON FÈVRE WATCH STRAP REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 16 MANUFACTURING STEPS

Behind every MAISON FÈVRE watch strap lies a succession of precise gestures inherited from the traditional leatherworking crafts. The main stages include leather inspection, pre-cutting, splitting the upper leather, skiving (thinning the edges), applying the reinforcement layer to ensure durability, splitting the lining leather, secondary skiving, folding the buckle end, attaching the lining, final cutting to the strap’s shape, stitching, cutting the openings for the buckle pin, adjustment holes and interchangeable spring bar system (Flash Spring Bar), edge dyeing, keeper assembly, hot stamping of the brand name and strap size, and finally, rigorous quality control.

This artisanal expertise is one of the Maison’s defining signatures and contributes to its reputation among watch enthusiasts, leather goods connoisseurs, and admirers of exceptional craftsmanship around the world.

MAISON FÈVRE, WHERE TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION

Within its design studio in Vichy, MAISON FÈVRE creates the collections that shape tomorrow’s trends. Under the direction of Antoine Gaillard, Commercial and Product Marketing Director, and in close collaboration with the Maison’s development teams and artisans, each creation emerges from a continuous dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and innovation.

Inspired by the world of watchmaking, contemporary leather goods, and the timeless elegance of leather, every collection takes shape through months of research, sketching, material selection, and technical development.

Some leather goods collections require up to two years of research and development before launch, reflecting the exacting standards applied to every detail and the Maison’s unwavering commitment to creating pieces that are elegant, functional, and built to last.

MAISON FÈVRE develops collections for both women and men, offering a wide variety of materials, colours, and finishes. The Maison’s iconic designs, such as the Double Tour for women and the Épure for men, perfectly illustrate its dedication to combining refinement, functionality, and individuality.

The Maison also offers waterproof straps, fabric creations, designs crafted from cork and pineapple fibre, as well as a dedicated collection for connected watches. Each collection is conceived to allow watch enthusiasts to personalise their timepieces effortlessly according to their preferences, style, or occasion.

Beyond watch straps, MAISON FÈVRE also designs watch boxes, travel watch rolls, and storage accessories created to protect and showcase timepieces both at home and while travelling.

Driven by a constant pursuit of excellence, the Maison continues to develop new creations and colourways, remaining true to its conviction that a watch strap does more than accompany a watch—it contributes to its identity.

Since 1942, MAISON FÈVRE has upheld a demanding tradition of craftsmanship where every detail matters, serving those who regard watchmaking as far more than a simple instrument for measuring time.
